How do I perform a soft reset on my device? How do I perform a factory reset?

  1. Soft Reset: To perform a soft reset, use the stylus tip to press the Reset button located at the back of the device (to the right of the mini USB port)
  2. Factory Reset: tap -> Settings > System > Restore Factory Defaults > enter the four digit confirmation number > tap on Yes.
  3. Factory Reset using hardware keys:
    1. With the device powered off, hold down the Windows and Camera button at the same time
    2. Press down the Power button
    3. You will see the following message appear on the screen.
      WARNING:
      Clean boot will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default
      Press Camera key to restore manufacturer default
      Press OTHER key to cancel
NOTE: A FACTORY RESET WILL DELETE ALL THE CONTENTS (INCLUDING ANY 3rd PARTY SOFTWARE AND STORED INFORMATION) OFF THE DEVICE.MAKE SURE TO BACK-UP YOUR FILES BEFORE PERFORMING A FACORY RESET
