How do I create a POP3/IMAP email account on the Traveler 117?
Before you set up an email account on the Traveler 117, please make sure that you have the necessary information ready: User Name, Password, Account Name, Network, Incoming mail server, check to see if it requires an SSL connection, outgoing mail server, verify if the outgoing mail server requires authentication, outgoing server settings.
Now are you ready to set up the email account:
Tap on Start -> Messaging -> Setup Email.
Enter the email address and password. Select Save Password if you want or you can enter the password each time you send and receive e-mails. Select Next.
If the device is connected to the internet, the Auto Setup feature will attempt to obtain the settings for this account. If no matching settings are found, then you will need to enter the settings manually.
Enter the name that you want to use when you send messages, then select Next.
In Automatic Send/Receive, select the frequency for sending/receiving emails. Tap on Review all download settings to change the email settings; if you donít want to change the email settings then tap on Finish to start downloading messages.
