INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing Pharos, iGPS-180, the smallest
12-channel "all-in-view" integrated GPS receiver for Pocket
PC. Please take some time to read through this manual to get familiar
with the operating features of the iGPS-180. The iGPS-180 consists
of a high-performance GPS engine based on industry-leading architecture
--- SiRFstar, a low profile patch antenna, and an RS-232 transceiver.
It provides fast positioning and instant real-time navigation while
consuming only small amounts of power. The iGPS-180 delivers quality
navigation information to the Pocket PC through its DB9 connector
at 4800 baud rate in NMEA protocol. Operating it with GPS-enabled
map software, you will arrive at your destination comfortably and
effortlessly.

INSTALLATION
& OPERATION
 |
- Plug the iGPS-180 connector into your pocket PC.
- Place the iGPS-180 on the dashboard with the cord running parallel
to the windshield as seen in the picture on the back side of the
manual.
- With the car's engine running, plug the cigarette-lighter adaptor
into the cigarette lighter of your car.
- Turn on the pocket PC and execute your GPS enabled map software.
- Follow the instructions for your map software.

TROUBLESHOOTING
 |
To get an accurate initial position quickly, please
find an open area so that the iGPS-180 can see as much sky as possible.
The
iGPS-180 has no power switch and reset button. To reset, simply
disconnect the connector and plug it back in ten (10) seconds later.
Normally,
the iGPS-180 will find your position within 60 seconds.
In case a position is not fixed in 90 seconds, reset the iGPS-180.
If the situation continues, please drive to an open area or move
the iGPS-180 to the roof of your vehicle and restart/reset the iGPS-180.

WARRANTY
 |
The iGPS-180 is warranted by Pharos to the original
purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship under
normal use for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
During the warranty period, and upon proof of purchase, the product
will be repaired or replaced (with the same or a similar model)
at Pharos¡¦ option without charge for parts or labor. This
warranty will not apply if the product has been misused, abused,
or altered. To obtain warranty service you must take or send
the product, postage paid, with a copy of your sales receipt or
other proof of purchase and the date of purchase to Pharos at 411
Amapola Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501, USA.
