Hello Ebuburuz,

We might have a connectivity solution available for you. Are you looking to connect via a serial cable or compact flash?

Hello Jumboj,

We might have a connectivity solution available for you. What specifications does the connection have to meet in order for it to connect to your computer?

Much like the previous posters I am interested in accessing the device directly through the serial port without the usb dongle. This seems to be quite a popular request and it might make sense to post the information for everybody. Thank You for your help.

I am going to connect one to a Linux box. Information about the serial protocol and pinout would be useful.

Thanks

I would like to use its LVTTL serial port directly without any adapter, but I would need the connector description.
Thanks in advance

I bought MS Streets & Trips 2008 with the GPS-500III locator. The locator is comprised of the Pharos locator(X12-42937), the converter to USB(X12-42936), and the USB extension cable. The converter component has broken.(What a ****py design to begin with) I am looking for a replacement cable that provides a direct connection into the x12-42937 locator component. Model: PXT10 cable looks like it may work but I would like to get a definative answer before I buy it.

Hello Support Team

First I have to say, I really like your GPS-500 unit! I use one of the many I have bought to navigate in my car with streets and trips on a regular basis. As well I have used it with autoroute to navigate germany. I have recommended your product to many of my friends and they have been impressed with it. I do wish I new more about this product as I wish to interface it with a pic microcontroller, for a future project. Any information would be appreciated greatly. Especially everything related to rs232 mode, pin-out and commands/command structure... a developers package?

Thank You

I've already emailed support@pharosgps.com but I'll make a post here too.

May I please have a copy of the pinout guide for iGPS-500? I have one sitting collecting dust, and want to use it in a hobby project. Thanks.
