Recently purchased a Archos 101 tablet running Android 2.3.26. Is there a driver for Pharos GPS-500 SIRF III available? I also have the bluetooth dock GPS BT-II. Just for fun I hooked it up. The tablet recognized it correctly and paired with it but of course with out the driver it wouldnt connect. Any ideas?
You do not need to install a driver in order for the BT GPS II to work on your Android Tablet. Do you recall selecting a Bluetooth Comport during the Bluetooth pairing? Which navigation program are you planning on using on your tablet?
Thank you, Tech Support

I found an app called Bluetooth GPS by Googoo Android on the App Market. It took about 3 min, but it connected with the GPS. It a pretty cool app as it shows how may satelites are in view and which ones have the strongest signal. It also shows the standard GPS info such as lat/lon, altitude, speed etc. After the initial connection it seems to connect much quicker each time I use it. To date I have used both Map Quest and Sygic Navigation with the GPS and they work well.
