Just got my Pharos 600e and according to the info on the website, I can update to WinMobile 6.5 by downloading Flash.bin and following these instructions:
---- Quote -----
Copy the new OS, Flash.bin, to a micro SD card
- Reset the 600 while hold down Power, Camera, and Voice recording button simultaneously
- OS update will start. Pharos 600 will display the following messages:
• Find SDMMC Card
• File = FLASH BIN
• Program Image from SDMMC
• Update OS image
• Please Wait
- It takes about 10 minutes to load OS and refresh Pharos 600#700;s ROM
---- End Quote ----

The problem is, no matter what I do, I can't hold down 3 buttons and push reset at the same time. Even when I got someone else to help me, the device just resets without any hint of attempting the OS update as documented.

Is there a "trick" to this? Has anyone done this before?

TIA for any help/info!
DH

The instructions are a little poor (just like most things that are microsoft related or OEM)

You need to have the 3 buttons held during the boot sequence.

That means press and hold the 3 buttons, push the reset and keep holding the 3 buttons until you see something on the screen.
good luck, you'll need it.
