When I install Trips N Pics 1.7.6.1 which I download from the Pharos website, it installs normally under Vista Enterprise.

When I start up the program, it detects that there is an update (Trips N Pics 1.7.6.2) and asks me if I want to update. I answer "yes".

It uninstalls the previous version and installs v1.7.6.2 onto the root (C:\) directory even though the installation should go into C:\Program Files\Pharos\Trips and Pics\.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and I get the same results when updating.

Is there any solution for this?

I figured out the solution.

In order to get the upgrade to install properly, you have to disable "user account control" under Vista.
