I bought a Trips/Pic which come with a Pharos GPS-500.
Then I found I have another GPS-500 which shows "Microsoft" in the front (I think that is OEM to MS street atlas?)
I was wondering if that can be also used with the trips and pic software as well?
I have tried connect it with the USB dongle come with my Trip/Pic and I can connected to the Microsoft GPS-500 and see all NMEA data. However, I was not able to download any track info from it. Is it normal?

Posted - 09/28/2009 : 09:55:27 Hello Mike, You might be able to use this GPS receiver, however we would have to check the firmware on the GPS device. To do this we need to get the serial number from the back of the receiver. Can you provide this number please? Thank You
